The walk to the first view of Sacsayhuamán

It's about 7 o'clock in the morning. Sun has not risen yet. This the second day in Sacsayhuamán for me now with a private guide from a travel agency. The first day I was in a big tourist group from another travel agency. We are coming in a car from Cusco Center to Sacsayhuamán (this is a distance of about 3km). Then we leave the car on a parking lot. And here is the entrance of Sacsayhuamán:

The flag in colored stripes is the flag of the Quechua population in the Andes.

Then we return about 100m. The guide means that BEFORE the entrance there would be a little quarry and this would be "interesting":

We are passing many trees:

Little cut stones

We return passing the trees again reaching some little houses and finding some little stones:

One can admit that underground many such cut stones can be found yet. But the territories are sold!

These cut stones should all remain where they are found, and one could find new ruins here - but this has not been done until today (2017). The guide is passing the group of cut stones without saying much but is showing other locations:

Stones being underground yet

And there are more traces of former buildings. One can really suppose: on this territory more ruins could be found yet:

But tourism in Cusco is also working without new excavation work...

Local population or botanists know what kind of shrubs and trees these are, and which are the fruits. So, and now we go to the entrance.
